Thank you to everyone who came out to our joint church meeting last night at Olive Garden. We had a joint Administrative meeting followed by a joint SPRC and we just talked how both churches could better reach out to folks. It was good food and good conversation.
Christmas Eve services will be joint between St Mark UMC and Community UMC and it will be at St Mark UMC 4320 Twin Pines Road Portsmouth, come join us. at 5:00 PM.
Community UMC will be having a reception on December 21st at 6:00 PM at 37 Cherry Road. We will be having finger foods and celebrating a special time, please come join us.
This Sunday both churches will raise up the names of the Saints that have passed before us. We will do this during our Joys and Concerns time. Please list your Saints and come join us.
As it looks at this writing, Florence will impact north of Wilmington, NC close to Moorehead City, NC Thursday as a strong Category 4 hurricane and then will slow and begin to die off wind wise.
