Prayers for Life Leader
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever Amen.
Hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty” Meditate and reflect
*Affirmation of Faith:
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again;
he ascended into heaven,
is seated at the right hand of the Father,
and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

Prayer of Confession: Gracious O God, our God, you have shown us your ways and promised to walk with us. Through your Son, Jesus, you have given us an example to follow, that we might be imitators of your divine love. But we have not kept the laws and rules you have given us. Lover of justice, forgive us when we forget whose image we bear. May the deep convictions of our faith be displayed through acts of kindness, compassion and mercy, in your holy name we pray. Amen.
Words of Assurance: Our God is a God who forgives, showing kindness and compassion to all. When we call on God, God hears and answers us. Through Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.
